Straight from the sands of the Middle East, playing a major roll as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Academy's latest kit is the 2003 version of the venerable Bradley Fighting Vehicle, the M2A2 Bradley OIF. The Bradley is a fully armored and fully tracked vehicle. Bradley's are designed to carry Mechanized Infantry into close contact with the enemy. It's a sophisticated weapons platform capable of providing tremendous firepower in direct support of the Infantry it carries. For additional protection from ballistic ammunition, additional applique steel armor was added to the M2A2 Bradley. Explosive reactive armor increases protection from shaped charge weapon systems. In this new model, Academy reproduced the latest body armor using brand-new slide-tooling in three areas, to bring this M2A2 Bradley to a new level in 1/35 scale for the avid ground armor modeler. Although highly detailed, ease of construction has been designed into Academy's M2A2 Bradley OIF to please both new and seasoned modelers.
