Mikasa is a pre-dreadnought battleship built for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) in the late 1890s, and was the only ship of her class. Mikasa, named after Mount Mikasa, was laid down by Vickers at their Barrow-in-Furness shipyard on 24 January 1899, and launched on 8 November 1900 and completed on 1 March 1902.
Kit has two-piece full hull, crisp molding, detailed deck with engraved plank texture, interior reinforcing bulkheads, detailed (upperworks, superstructure, full weapons suite, ships boats and crane), name plate and display stand, extensive photoetch (superstructure railings, inclined and vertical ladders, gangways, weapons detail, boat details and many additional accents). Completed kit is approximately 25.9"€ long. Decals and 3-view color painting guide for hull markings and ensign.
