The Merkava is a main battle tank used by the Israel Defense Forces, it began development in 1973 and entered official service in 1978. First used extensively in the 1982 Lebanon War, 'Merkava' was derived from the IDF's initial development program name.

Kit has crisp exterior detail, one-piece lower and upper hull, separate turret and hatch, side skirts with bolt and latch detail, rear hull bins, single piece 120 mm smoothbore gun barrel, 7.62mm machine guns and 12.7mm machine gun, simplified suspension with single piece track.
