F-15E Strike Eagle is a major derivative of the F-15 Eagle, designed as an all-weather ground attack strike fighter. It was designed in the 1980s for long range and high speed interdiction without relying on either escort or electronic warfare aircraft. The F-15E proved itself during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Allied Force, striking against high value targets and combat air patrols and providing close air support for coalition troops.
The Hasegawa model includes 320 detailed parts and decals to model one of two aircraft.
Kit has recessed panel lines, detailed tandem cockpits (with 1 seated pilot and 1 standing aircrew - posed with foot raised to board the aircraft), boxed-in wheel wells, intake trunking, conformal fuel tanks, optional position speed brake, boarding ladder, exhaust nozzles with 'turkey feather' segments, optional position multi-part canopy and photo-etch exhaust nozzle details. Also includes ample external stores - 600 gal drop tanks (x2), TERs (x6), Mk.20 bombs (x22), AIM-7F missiles (x4), AIM-9L missiles (x4), AN/AAQ-13 navigation pod and AN/AAQ-14 targeting pod.
