Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. First saw combat with the British Commonwealth squadrons of the Desert Air Force in the Middle East and North African campaigns, during June 1941. P-40E was similar in most respects to the P-40D, except for a slightly more powerful engine and an extra .50 in (12.7 mm) gun in each wing. Kit consist of over 130+ parts, 11 sprues, engraved panel lines, detailed cockpit and fuselage interior, chin intake, canopys, fuselage windows and landing lights, single piece propeller with separate spinner, M2 Browning machine guns, separate control surfaces, centerline drop tank and bomb, detailed wheel wells and optional undercarriage, rubber tires, photo-etch (seatbelts and other accents). Decals and 4-view color painting reference for (2) aircraft: Unknown Unit; 9th FS, 49th FG, 5th AF, USAAF, serial # unknown; 11th FS, 343rd FG, 11th AF, USAAF, serial # 49; 7th IAP, VVS, Black Sea Fleet, serial # 32 - includes stencil data, instrument panel and consoles.
