This is the Japanese variant of the recently released US version of the LCAC. The JSDF's first hovercraft-type transport "Aircushion" is capable of both land and sea travel. The vehicle hovers 1.2m above water/ground via air-power and can reach speeds of 40 knots. With a loading capacity of 50 tons and overall length of 27 meters, the hovercraft is capable of transporting one Type-90 tank or over 10 light vehicles.
