The Sukhoi Su-33 (Flanker-D) is an all-weather carrier-based twin-engine air superiority fighter designed by Sukhoi and manufactured by Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association. The first of two known versions of the Su-33, the twin-seat Su-33UB, made its first flight in April 1999.
