WWII era US-built long-range escort fighter. Kit has engraved panel lines and rivets, detailed cockpit, full engine and mounts, hinged flaps and control surfaces, gun bay detail with ammo, optional position multi-part canopy, spring loaded landing main gear struts, optional clear cowling panels, and external stores (6 underwing rockets and 2 each 75 gallon drop tanks, 108 gallon 'paper' tanks and 500 lb bombs). Also includes vinyl parts (tires, brake lines and ignition harness), photo-etch hinge pivots, metal hinge rods, film instruments and 3 resin figures (pilots in standing poses cast in various uniform, including 1 in flight gear).
