The main problem for the American tank units at the beginning of "Desert Storm 91" were the Iraq minefields along the front line. To solve this problem and give the troops a chance to overcome the obstacles, the Abrams tank battalion received Battalion Countermine Sets(BCS), The BCS is a combination of mine plough and mine roller kits. The Chrysler-built mine clearing roller system can be used by all US battle tanks.
