The AN/MPQ-53 C-band, multifunction phased array radar system is responsible for searching, detection, tracking and identification of potential threats, and Patriot missiles guidance and ECCM functions. It is a passive electronically scanned array radar equipped with IFF, electronic counter-countermeasure (ECCM), and track-via-missile (TVM) guidance subsystems.
Kit has multi-part radar and trailer (smooth, engraved and raised) exterior details, detailed (stabilizing legs and suspension with rubber tires), transparent and photo-etch accents.
