At over sixty feet (18m) in length and weighing in at well over 200,000lb (100,000 kg), the 41cm guns of the Nagato-class were some of the largest and most devastating weapons in history. Their shells weighed 2,250lb (1,020kg)-roughly as much as a heavy-duty pickup truck, only this 'truck' has a muzzle velocity of 1,772 mph! At that velocity, the shells strike their maximum range target, 28 miles (38km) distant, in just forty-eight seconds.
