The Focke-Wulf Fw190D-9 was the Luftwaffe's high altitude fighter in WWII. Powered by the Jumo 213 liquid-cooled engine, the D-9 had an extended nose and was nicknamed "Long Nose Dora". The rear fuselage was extended by 50cm and the tail fin was enlarged to balance the extended nose. THe D-9 gained much respect from allied pilots.
