The Wehrmacht (German armed forces between 1935 and 1945) employed various types of tanks during World War II, from the small Panzer I to the imposing Tiger II. Despite the advanced nature of some of these designs, which left an indelible mark on military history and significantly influenced the development of post-war armored vehicles worldwide, the Third Reich could do nothing to counter the enormous armament production capacity of the Allies.
