  • One of the upper surface colors in the SEA (South-East Asia) camouflage scheme introduced by the USAF TAC (Tactical Air Command) shortly after the outbreak of the Vietnam War and used until the 1980s.
  • One of the upper surface colors in the IAF (Israeli Air Force) standard desert scheme used from 1967 (after the Six Day War) until 2020s (A-4/TA-4, F-4E, F-15I, F-16A/B/C/D/I, Mirage IIIC, Nesher, late Kfir C2s & C7s, Ouragan, Mystere, Super Mystere, Vautour II, Fouga Magister, Do 27, Do 28 etc.).
  • One of the upper surface colors in the camouflage scheme (based on the US SEA scheme) used by FAA (Fuerza Aerea Argentina - Argentine Air Force) during the Falklands (Malvinas) conflict (Mirage IIIEA, IAI Dagger, C-130/KC-130).
  • One of the upper surface colors used in the camouflage scheme (based on the US SEA scheme) introduced by the FAP (Forca Aerea Portuguesa - Portuguese Air Force) in the 1980s and applied to A-7P, Fiat G.91, Alpha Jet, SA 330, Alouette II & III, AW101 etc.
  • One of the colors possibly used in the ad-hoc desert schemes applied to some USMC helicopters during the 1990-1991 Gulf War.
  • Also used in some US Navy aggressor schemes (F/A-18B, F-16A).

Real Colors are a range of acrylic lacquer paints much like Tamiya's acrylics.
  • Great for airbrushing: AK Real Colors flow smoothly. Even if the surface is too damp the paint stretches and dries with a nice matte finish.
  • Thinning: AK Interactive states that Real Color paints can be diluted with any thinner designed for acrylic lacquer paints (non-vinyl), however it has been our experience that these paints should be diluted with Real Color thinner only.
  • Holds Firmly: Paint adheres and dries perfectly with a soft matte finish, so you can throw on all the treatments, punishment and weathering you like.
