Used for painting vehicles and other equipment of the German Army from July 1937 until July 1940 as a complementary camouflage color to RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau (according to the official regulations; however, it appears that many military vehicles were painted in Dunkelgrau only already during the Polish Campaign). According to the army regulations RAL 7017 should cover 1/3 of vehicle's surface in form of irregular patches with soft edges.
Real Colors are a range of acrylic lacquer paints much like Tamiya's acrylics.
- Great for airbrushing: AK Real Colors flow smoothly. Even if the surface is too damp the paint stretches and dries with a nice matte finish.
- Thinning: AK Interactive states that Real Color paints can be diluted with any thinner designed for acrylic lacquer paints (non-vinyl), however it has been our experience that these paints should be diluted with Real Color thinner only.
- Holds Firmly: Paint adheres and dries perfectly with a soft matte finish, so you can throw on all the treatments, punishment and weathering you like.
