The 'Kang Ding' class frigate is developed from French made 'Lafayette' class frigate.It is a very good stealthy frigate designed for close sea patrol and crisis intervention.The different between 'Kang Ding' & 'Lafayette' class frigate is the 'Kang Ding' equipped with all the American made armament system. Total 6 of 'Kang Ding' class frigate is service in Taiwanese navy since 1996.
