The P-61C Black Widow, named for the American spider, was the first operational U.S. warplane designed as a night fighter, and the first aircraft designed to use radar. P-61C was a high-performance variant designed to rectify some of the combat deficiencies encountered with the A and B variants.
Kit has engraved panel lines, fuselage interior sections (including pilot's cockpit, gunner's station and aft radar operator's cabin), radial engines, single piece cowlings, single piece propellers with spinners, engraved canopy's, separate ailerons, detailed wheel wells and optional undercarriage, exterior photoetch, Hispano AN/M2 cannon, M2 Browning machine guns, bombs and rockets.
