Development of the Object 268 was started in the summer of 1952 at the Kirov Plant, Leningrad, under the supervision of Joseph Kotin. The vehicle was developed on the basis of the T-10 heavy tank. A prototype was manufactured in 1956, the vehicle passed trials, but never saw mass production.
Kit features 1-piece lower hull, 1-piece upper hull with turret and detailed engine deck, hinged hatches, DShKM machine gun with ammo boxes, multi-part injection molded gun barrel, wire tow cable, cylindrical fuel drum's, wooden log, separately molded on-vehicle tools and equipment, filigree handholds, running gear (sprockets, road wheels, idler wheels and individual track links), photo-etch parts (engine grills, brackets, latches, light guards, ammo box and other accents). Decals and 5-view color reference for a single Soviet tank in overall green camouflage.
