Curtis Turner was sometimes referred to as the Babe Ruth of stock-car racing. Turner was born in Floyd County Virginia in 1924 and died in a plane crash in 1970. His antics on and off the racetrack are legendary, NASCAR's first wild man. Turner made millions in the timber business and stock-car racing was more of a hobby. Turner won 360 races in several different series from outlawed tracks, NASCAR and USCA. In 1956 he won 22 NASCAR convertible races and the Southern 500. This Gofer Racing model kit decal sheet will build Curtis Turner's winning Southern 500 car the "Wild Hog" and his Daytona 1956 convertible.
You can use AMT's model kit number 807-1956 Ford Victoria with this model car decal sheet. To learn more about Curtis Turner read the book Full Throttle by Robert Edelstein. These decals come pictures of the race cars to help you with decal placement.
