Hawker Hurricanes bore the brunt of the Axis assault in Europe. Their carrier-borne cousins, the Sea Hurricanes, brought the battle to every corner of the globe. Although many detractors considered it to be obsolete, the Hurricane proved them wrong. In lopsided engagements all across the world, the Hurricane's reliability and ease of repair helped tip the scales back in the Allie's favor.
