This is one of four saws in Zona's Fine Kerf or "Universal" Razor Saw category (see 35-520, 35-550, and 35-560). It is a good all purpose saw for modeling and woodworking, and works well cutting balsa and other wood, plastic, copper and brass, while leaving smooth edges. The 1-3/16" cutting depth is suitable for cutting most shapes and thicknesses. This saw cuts on the pull stroke.
(TPI refers to the number of teeth per inch, the more teeth per inch, the finer the cut, i.e. blades with 42 tpi leave a smoother finish than those with 24 tpi. Kerf relates to blade thickness or the size of the slot made by the blade in parting the material. Length refers to the length of the blade from end to end. Depth refers to the blade's cutting depth and is measured from the cutting edge to the steel back.)
