Central to the effort
Yahagi was part of the "Center Force" in the Battle of Leyte Gulf when the Japanese tried to draw apart the American Navy and destroy it in detail. Thanks to a mixture of good seamanship, radar, and blind luck, however, the US Navy managed to defeat each of the attacking forces while protecting the landing forces. Despite the heavy combat it was involved in, Yahagi sustained almost no damage at Leyte and was expended with the rest of the fleet in Operation Ten Go. Kit features searchlight parts and photo etched parts.
