The dreadnought was the predominant type of battleship in the early 20th century. The first of the kind the Royal Navy's Dreadnought made such a strong impression on people's minds when launched in 1906 that similar battleships built subsequently were referred to generically as 'Dreadnoughts'. Kit features 2-piece full hull, engraved deck plank texture, detailed super structure, finely molded fittings, well detailed ship's boats, 12-pdr rapid fire guns, filigree masts and yardarms, display stand and engraved name plate, photo-etch parts (including funnel grilles, platform railings, inclined ladders, vertical ladders, braces, boat details, davits and more). Decals and 4-view color painting reference representing jack, ensign. Completed kit is approximately 9.3" long.
