All set to stop the Superfortress
The Ki-109 was developed by Major Hideo Sakamoto as Japan's answer to the Allies' B-29 Superfortress. The Army Heavy Fighter Interceptor was equipped with one 75 mm cannon and a 12.7 mm machine gun in the tail turret. The 107th Flight Regiment received theirs in 1945; unfortunately, it proved too slow against the B-29. This limited edition kit features resin nose and upper rear parts and metal 75 mm cannon parts.
