From 1954 until 1993, the 57th Fighter Interceptor Squadron maintained a 24-hour guard against aerial intrusions from the Soviet Union. Fighters from the squadron's base in Iceland were scrambled hundreds of times to intercept planes attempting to fly from Russia to Cuba. Most of the fighters the unit flew were outdated, but the F-15C Eagles they received in 1985 were the best the United States had to offer. This limited edition kit features conformal fuel tanks and pylon parts.
