Now adding to the North African theme is a reproduction of the famous Kubelwagen car widely used by the German military machine. Serving with the Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK), the little vehicle was often fitted with balloon tires to ease its passage over soft, sandy terrain, as is common in much of the North African desert region.

This 1/35 scale Kubelwagen is magnificently detailed, despite its diminutive size. The balloon tires, including a spare on the hood, are faithfully recreated. Furthermore, the set contains two 1/35 scale figures. One is easily identified as the Desert Fox himself - Erwin Rommel. Rommel is dressed in a characteristic tunic and breeches, with a scissors periscope mounted on a tripod standing nearby. This 1/35 set of the Kubelwagen and German senior officers lends itself to a heated North African diorama scene!
