This is the rationale for the latest StuG.III Ausf.G kit that represents a vehicle built in May 1943. The StuG.III was Germany's most widely manufactured armored fighting vehicle of the war, and the Ausf.G, of which 7,720 were produced from December 1942 through till April 1945, was the most common variant.

This is not just another StuG.III kit, for it features a vehicle specifically from the mid-1943 time period. The thickness of the frontal armor is accurately portrayed. The 7.5cm StuK 40 L/48 gun is beautifully represented in full detail as it can be glimpsed through the open commander's hatch. The Schurzen protective side skirts are represented by metal plates. Photo-etched components cover such elements as air intake grills, idler wheel rings and fender frames. The 40cm tracks are made from DS to make this assembly task that much easier.
