This kit is designed to be used as an extension of an existing model kit. In some cases, extensive modification may be required for the pieces to fit properly. Conversion and detailing kits are intended for advanced modelers.
If you own the Revell 1/72nd Scale U-Boat, you really want to open all of the limber holes under the main deck. One of the minor flaws with the 1/72nd Scale Revell Uboat kit is that they did not include the top of the pressure hull when they created the kit. If you open the holes, you would see nothing but a big empty space where there should be detail.
Yankee Modelworks has solved that problem for you.
This kit is designed to fit inside the Revell 1/72nd scale Type VII U-Boat. It consists of 3 large high quality cast resin parts. All of the detail such as high pressure tanks, piping, and hatches are all cast in place on top of the parts. All you need to do is cut open the limber holes, insert the parts according to the instructions, and paint!
